Green Room, Meteors, and Abbidence

Let me start by explaining that my roommate doesn't tend to worry too much about me. Some friends have expressed their fear for my well being on different occasions, but Roomie? He's just not a worrier.  Well he worried about me last night. I can't blame him either, after hearing him describe coming home at 1:30am to see my bike in the bushes and my keys not even in their usual place on the couch. This made it seriously look like I'd been abducted.  "If Leslie had been here to see that, she would've called the cops, the FBI, and gotten your face put on milk jugs." Fortunately, I'm not blogging to you from a basement of a crazy.   The night started  with getting some brews with Super Cool Dana and her awesome hubs at Green Room. Those brews, in particular are the ones I always forget the power of. So just three in made for a bra and shoeless night (typical Abby protocol).  So I got home and decided "I need to see the beach..." Then I decided ...

Perfect Days with the A's

My best friends Amy and Amy (cause for a lot of jokes but at least no forgetting names) came to visit last week! They stayed from Thursday til the next Friday, but for what seemed like a month. (In a good way!) we got so much done, had so many laughs, saw countless beautiful scenes, ate far too much, heard so much music, enjoyed the sun in parks, gardens, canals, and the beach, and ate outside as much as possible. As Amy coined the phrase for the week we were "accomplishing much, breathing often."           On Thursday , I picked them up at the airport with Lagkagehuset in hand, with plans of having a relaxing afternoon coffee and cake before getting the kids. I couldn't contain my excitement, as my Facebook friends could see from my bouncing in the metro seat status. With...

Open-Mic, Elephants, and Polish Birthdays

Last Wednesday, Sune and I  went to an awesome open mic at Drop In for him to meet a girl he might sing with. There were so many great bands and it was awesome seeing him play... He's so good! And so cute. And I'm not biased at all! ;)  Some guy kept telling me how hott and amazing Sune was. I obviously agreed.                        Lisa, the girl Sune was meeting to play with, was a really cool character. She was so nice and just very unique. We both said how she was "just an interesting human." A good singer too. She has a cool, blues style, with lots of attitude during her song. She had a pretty interesting story too... She's from Vermont/New York, lived in China for 9 months and then moved here with her Danish boyfriend.                      I got to meet Sys Bjerre ...
